LiveWith Privacy Policy

LiveWith ("LiveWith", "we", "us", or "our"), operated by APM Labs LLC, provides a mobile app that helps roommates and housemates split expenses, manage bills, assign chores, and coordinate shared living ("the Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
By using LiveWith you agree to this Privacy Policy.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide:
- Account information: your email address, display name, and chosen avatar. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your email and name from that provider (you may choose to hide your email when using Sign in with Apple).
- Payment handles: if you choose to add them, your Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, and/or Zelle identifiers. These are shown to your housemates so they can pay you back directly. LiveWith does not process payments and never handles your money or card details.
- Household content: expenses, bills, chores, house rules, shopping lists, notes, game and duel activity, and other content you create.
- Photos you upload: receipt images (used to itemize and split expenses) and chore-completion photos (used to verify chores). Receipt and chore images are sent to our AI processing provider (see Section 3) to extract text / verify completion.
Information collected automatically:
- Device & usage data: a push notification token (if you enable notifications), app version, device type, and diagnostic/crash information.
- Advertising identifier: our ads provider (Google AdMob) may access a device advertising identifier to serve ads. We request non-personalized ads only, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your account and household;
- Provide core features — splitting expenses, tracking bills, assigning chores, and displaying payment handles to housemates;
- Process receipt and chore photos to extract line items and verify chores;
- Send push notifications you have enabled (e.g., new expenses, join requests, overdue bills);
- Show ads that let you earn in-app scan credits;
- Diagnose crashes, maintain security, and improve the Service;
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
- With your household members: content you create and payment handles you add are visible to members of your household.
- With service providers who process data on our behalf:
- Supabase — hosting, database, and authentication (stores your account and app data);
- Anthropic (Claude) — processes receipt and chore images to extract text and verify chores;
- Google AdMob — serves non-personalized ads;
- Sentry — crash and error diagnostics.
- For legal reasons: to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.
- In a business transfer: if LiveWith is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
4. Data retention & deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile and personal data. Households you solely own are deleted; ownership of shared households is transferred to another member so your housemates aren't disrupted. Some records may persist briefly in backups or where retention is legally required. You may also contact us at justin@apmlabs.io for deletion requests.
5. Your rights & choices
- Notifications: enable or disable push notifications in Settings or your device settings.
- Payment handles: add, edit, or remove them at any time in Settings.
- Access, correction, deletion: depending on your location (e.g., GDPR/UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
- We do not "sell" or "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under U.S. state privacy laws.
6. Children's privacy
LiveWith is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. International users
Your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate, which may have different data-protection laws than your own.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app.
